Sunrise isn’t always limited to looking east at Grand Canyon. Colors on the canyon walls deepen as the light increases. At the North Rim’s Cape Royal a down canyon view provides lots of different topography.
I am mostly a nature photographer, all things big and small. I started exploring US National Parks in 1977 and 20 years later became a Park Ranger. Spending much of my time outdoors working summers I shoot what I see on a daily basis. Winters I typically travel seeking new adventures and places. Because I live in a RV, I take home with me. Except when I travel in South Africa and then I tent camp in their amazing national parks. Through photographic story, I strive to inspire positive change in myself and others that impacts the world. Thank you.

I see Zoroaster and Brahma Temples in the midground, Gaelyn. Love the Kaibab Limestone and Coconino Sandstone layers in the foreground. I think I even see Oneil Butte where the Kaibab Trail winds down to the river far across to the upper left. North Rim is fantastic here! Your canyon captures are outstanding!....Fav / like
