About Gaelyn Olmsted
I am mostly a nature photographer, all things big and small. I started exploring US National Parks in 1977 and 20 years later became a Park Ranger. Spending much of my time outdoors working summers on the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park I shoot what I see on a daily basis. Winters I typically travel seeking new adventures and places. Because I live in a RV I take home with me. Except when I travel in South Africa and then I tent camp in their amazing national parks.
I've taken photographs since I was nine-years old when given a hand-me-down Brownie Box. On a two week vacation I was allowed one roll of film--12 images--and told to "make it last." Thank goodness for digital! Plus I’ve been journaling all my life, writing is a passion.
